## Introductory text

NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE, ENGLAND
Made 3rd December 2007
Coming into force 13th December 2007
The Secretary of State for Health makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred upon the Secretary of State by sections 18(2), 272(7) and (8) and 273(1) of, and paragraph 13(1) of Schedule 3 to, the National Health Service Act 2006.
In accordance with section 18(5) of that Act, the prescribed consultation has been completed.

## 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Primary Care Trusts (Establishment and Dissolution) (England) Amendment (No.3) Order 2007 and shall come into force on 13th December 2007.
(2) In this Order, “the Order” means the Primary Care Trusts (Establishment and Dissolution) (England) Order 2006.

## 2 Change of name of Primary Care Trusts and transitional provision

(1) In Schedules 1, 2 and 3 to the Order, in each place where the name of a Primary Care Trust listed in the Schedule appears, before “Primary Care Trust” insert “Teaching”.
(2) The change of name effected by paragraph (1) shall not—
(a) affect any right or obligation of any person; or
(b) be taken as invalidating any instrument (whether made before, on or after the day on which this Order comes into force) which refers to the Primary Care Trust by its previous name,
and all instruments and other documents which refer to the Primary Care Trust under its previous name shall be construed as referring to it under its new name.

## Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the Primary Care Trusts (Establishment and Dissolution) (England) Order 2006, which established a number of Primary Care Trusts in England.
Article 2 of the Order changes the name of Bournemouth and Poole Primary Care Trust and Cumbria Primary Care Trust to, respectively, Bournemouth and Poole Teaching Primary Care Trust and Cumbria Teaching Primary Care Trust.
