# The Primary Ophthalmic Services Regulations 2008, Introduction: Introductory text

The Secretary of State for Health makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 16CD(1), (2) and (3), 16CE and 126(4) of the National Health Service Act 1977:—
