  "text": "(This note is not part of the Rules)\nThese Rules amend the Prison Rules 1964, as amended, by extending the meaning of “officer”, for the purposes of rule 38(2), so that it includes a prisoner custody officer who is authorised to perform escort functions in accordance with section 89 of the Criminal Justice Act 1991.",
