# The Prison (Scotland) Amendment Rules 1988, Introduction: Introductory text


PRISONS
Made 10th March 1988
Coming into force 14th March 1988
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 35 as read with section 7 of the Prisons (Scotland) Act 1952, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, considering that a draft of the following rules has been laid before Parliament, that the period of 40 days has expired and that neither House has resolved that the rules be not made, hereby making the following rules:
