Regulation 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

These Regulations may be cited as the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2016 and shall come into force on 30th December 2016.

In these Regulations—

• “the 2003 Regulations” means the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003^f1;

• “the relevant functions” means the functions under regulations 25 and 26 of the 2003 Regulations;

• “the relevant date” means the date on which these Regulations come into force.
