Security Industry

Coming into force 6th April 2023
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 8(7) and 24(5) of the Private Security Industry Act 2001 (“the Act”)f1.
In accordance with section 24(4) of the Actf2, before making these Regulations, the Secretary of State consulted the Scottish Ministers, the Department of Justice in Northern Ireland and the Security Industry Authority.

Section 24(4) was amended by section 171 of and paragraphs 1 and 11 of Schedule 15 to the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 (c. 15) and S.I. 2010/976. There is another amending instrument not relevant to these Regulations.
