# The Private Security Industry (Licences) Regulations 2004, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 5th February 2004
Coming into force 1st March 2004
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 8, 9 and 24(5) of the Private Security Industry Act 2001, having regard to the definition of “prescribed” in section 24(1), and having consulted, in accordance with section 24(4) of that Act, the Security Industry Authority, hereby makes the following Regulations:
