# The Probation (Amendment) Rules 1993, Article 2


For rule 9 of the Probation Rules 1984 there shall be substituted the following rule—
“9 (1) A probation committee shall appoint annually from among its members a chairman and may so appoint a deputy chairman.
(2) A probation liaison committee shall appoint annually from among its members, other than co-opted members, a chairman and may so appoint a deputy chairman.
(3) A committee referred to in paragraph 1 or 2 of this rule shall fill a vacancy in the office of chairman whenever it occurs.”.
