# The Proscribed Organisations (Name Change) Order 2016, Introduction: Introductory text


Prevention And Suppression Of Terrorism
Made 6th December 2016
Laid before Parliament 8th December 2016
Coming into force 9th December 2016
The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 3(6) of the Terrorism Act 2000.
In accordance with section 3(6)(a) of that Act, the Secretary of State believes that the organisation referred to in article 2 of this Order, being an organisation in Schedule 2 to that Act, is operating wholly or partly under a name that is not specified in that Schedule (whether as well as or instead of under the specified name).
