# The Proscribed Organisations (Name Changes) Order 2011, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 10th November 2011
Coming into force 11th November 2011
The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3(6) of the Terrorism Act 2000.
In accordance with section 3(6)(a) of that Act, the Secretary of State believes that the organisations referred to in article 2(1) of the following Order, being organisations listed in Schedule 2 to that Act, are operating wholly or partly under a name that is not specified in that Schedule (whether as well as or instead of under the specified names).
