  "text": "(1) A person cannot be appointed as Auditor General if the person is disqualified on any of the grounds specified in subsection (3).\n(2) A person ceases to be Auditor General if the person is disqualified on any of the grounds specified in subsection (3).\n(3) A person is disqualified from being Auditor General if the person is—\n(a) a Member of the National Assembly;\n(b) the holder of any other office or position to which a person may be appointed, or recommended or nominated for appointment, by or on behalf of—\n(i) the Crown,\n(ii) the National Assembly, or\n(iii) the National Assembly Commission;\n(c) a Member of the House of Commons or House of Lords;\n(d) a Member of the Scottish Parliament;\n(e) a Member of the Northern Ireland Assembly;\n(f) an employee of the Wales Audit Office.",
