# Public Health Act 1875, Section 184: Confirmation of byelaws.

Extent: E+W

(1) Byelaws made by a local authority in England under this Act shall not take effect unless and until they have been submitted to and confirmed by the Secretary of State ... .
(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to byelaws of a class prescribed by regulations under section 236A(1) of the Local Government Act 1972.
