# The Public Telecommunication System Designation (AT&T Global Network Services (UK) B.V.) Order 2002, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 16th May 2002
Coming into force 14th June 2002
Whereas the Secretary of State has granted to AT&T Global Network Services (UK) B.V. on 15th March 2002 a licence (“the Licence”) under section 7 of the Telecommunications Act 1984 (“the Act”), to which section 8 of the Act applies, for the running of the telecommunication systems specified in the Licence (“the Applicable Systems”):
Now, therefore, the Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by section 9 of the Act, hereby makes the following Order:
