# The Public Telecommunication System Designation (Cable Thames Valley Limited) Order 1997, Introduction: Introductory text

Made 26th November 1997
Laid before Parliament 27th November 1997
Coming into force 26th December 1997
Whereas the Secretary of State has granted to Cable Thames Valley Limited on 28th July 1997 a licence (“the Licence”) under section 7 of the Telecommunications Act 1984 (“the Act”), to which section 8 of the Act applies, for the running of the telecommunication systems specified in the Licence (“the Applicable Systems”):
Now, therefore, the Secretary of State, in excercise of the powers conferred on her by section 9 of the Act, hereby makes the following Order:
