# The Public Telecommunication System Designation (Coventry Cable Limited) Order 1997, Introduction: Introductory text

Made 4th September 1997
Laid before Parliament 15th September 1997
Coming into force 14th October 1997
Whereas the Secretary of State has granted to to Coventry Cable Limited on 21 April 1997 a licence (“the Licence”) under section 7 of the Telecommunications Act 1984 (“the Act”), to which section 8 of the Act applies, for the running of the telecommunication systems specified in the Licence (“the Applicable Systems”):
Now, therefore, the Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by section 9 of the Act, hereby makes the following Order:—
