# The Public Telecommunication System Designation (MLL Telecom Limited) Order 1998, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 9th December 1998
Coming into force 7th January 1999
Whereas the Secretary of State has granted to MLL Telecom Limited on 22nd June 1998 a licence (“the Licence”) under section 7 of the Telecommunications Act 1984 (“the Act”), to which section 8 of the Act applies, for the running of the telecommunication systems specified in the Licence (“the Applicable Systems”):
