# The Public Telecommunication System Designation(i-21 Ltd) Order 2000, Introduction: Introductory text


TELECOMMUNICATIONS
Made 18th October 2000
Laid before Parliament 25th October 2000
Coming into force 23rd November 2000
Whereas the Secretary of State has granted to i-21 Ltd on 20th April 2000 a licence (“the Licence”) under section 7 of the Telecommunications Act 1984 (“the Act”), to which section 8 of the Act applies, for the running of the telecommunication systems specified in the Licence (“the Applicable Systems”):
Now, therefore, the Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 9 of the Act, hereby makes the following Order:—
