# The Public Trustee (Fees) Order 1999, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order re-enacts with amendments the provisions of the Public Trustee (Fees) Order 1985, as amended by subsequent Orders.
The principal amendments are as follows:–
(1) the administration fee percentage payable in respect of each ad valorem band is reduced (article 17(4)) and
(2) the valuation date for the purpose of calculating the administration fee is updated (article 17(5)). The administration fee percentages were last revised in 1994 and the overall effect of the changes made by this Order is neutral.
