# The Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency’s Remit Order 2010, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order provides that qualifications when they are taken by a person aged 19 or over are outside the remit of the Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency (“QCDA”) for the purposes of Part 8 of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009. Part 8 of that Act sets out the functions of the QCDA which apply in relation to qualifications within its remit.
A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
