Section 1 of the Act comes into force on 26th March 2001 for the purpose of the imposition of requirements or giving of express authorisations (as defined) by a Minister of the Crown, and for all other purposes on 2nd April 2001. Section 10 of the Act came into force on Royal Assent.",
