# The Radio Equipment Regulations 2017, Paragraph 4: UK marking and ... declaration of conformity

Extent: E+W+S

(1) The manufacturer must affix the UK marking in accordance with regulations 39 (prohibition on improper use of UK marking) and 44 (UK marking) to each item of radio equipment that satisfies the applicable requirements of these Regulations.
(2) The manufacturer must draw up a written ... declaration of conformity for each radio equipment type and keep it together with the technical documentation at the disposal of the national authorities for 10 years after the radio equipment has been placed on the market. The ... declaration of conformity must identify the radio equipment for which it has been drawn up.
(3) A copy of the ... declaration of conformity must be made available to the relevant authorities upon request.
