# The Rail Vehicle (Exemption Applications) Regulations 1998, Introduction: Introductory text


DISABLED PERSONS TRANSPORT
Made 5th October 1998
Laid before Parliament 9th October 1998
Coming into force 1st November 1998
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 47 of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, having consulted the Disabled Persons Transport Advisory Committee and such other representative organisations as he thought fit in accordance with section 46(11) of the said Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:—
