  "text": "(1) Subject to the provisions of paragraph 11, if the total of the amounts paid under paragraph 2 or 3 in relation to a Table B amount and the amounts paid under paragraph 8 in respect of interest on the outstanding balance of that Table B amount do not equal the sum of the Table B amount and the total of the interest which has accrued on the outstanding balance of that amount and has not previously been paid the appropriate person shall pay to the other the adjustment.\n(2) In this paragraph—\n“adjustment” means the amount of the shortfall or excess, as the case may be;\n“appropriate person” means, in the case of a shortfall in the amounts paid, the Secretary of State and, in the case of an excess in the amounts paid, the persons administering the section; and\n“other” means such of the Secretary of State and the persons administering the section as is not the appropriate person.",
