# The Railways Act 2005 (Amendment) Regulations 2006, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 9th March 2006
Coming into force 1st April 2006
The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the power conferred by paragraph 1(4) of Schedule 3 to the Railways Act 2005.
In accordance paragraph 1(5) of that Schedule he has consulted the Office of Rail Regulation, the Health and Safety Commission and such other persons he considers appropriate.
