  "text": "(1) The Authority shall secure the maintenance of an efficient and effective police force—\n(a) to be known as the British Transport Police Force, and\n(b) to police the railways.\n(2) In particular, the Authority shall defray the expenses of the Police Force.\n(3) In this Part “the Police Force” means the British Transport Police Force.",
