# The Railways (Ashford) (Exemptions) Order 1998, Article 2: Disapplication of closure provisions


The light maintenance depot at Ashford, Kent TN23 1EZ (“the specified depot”) is a light maintenance depot in relation to which section 41 of the Railways Act 1993 (closure of railways facilities used in connection with passenger services) is not to have effect.
