# The Railways (Licence Application) Regulations 1994, Regulation 2: Citation and commencement


(1) In these Regulations,
“application” means an application for a licence;
“the Act” means the Railways Act 1993.
(2) In these Regulations, any reference to a numbered regulation shall mean the regulation bearing that number in these Regulations and any reference in a regulation to a numbered paragraph is a reference to the paragraph bearing that number in that regulation.
