# The Railways Pension Scheme Order 1994, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 31st May 1994
Whereas a draft of this Order was laid before Parliament and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament;
Now, therefore, the Secretary of State, in exercise of the power conferred on him by section 143(3) and (4) of, and paragraphs 1(1) and 2 of Schedule 11 to, the Railways Act 1993 hereby makes the following Order:
