Article 2 Prescribed persons

For the purpose of determining whether the 1994 Pensioners’ Section of the Railways Pension Scheme f1 satisfies the conditions in paragraph 11(3) of Schedule 11 to the Railways Act 1993 there shall be disregarded the membership of that section of any persons admitted to membership of that section with effect from 30th December 2000 who were formerly members of the BR Section of the Railways Pension Scheme.

The Railways Pension Scheme was established by the Railways Pension Scheme Order 1994 (S.I. 1994 No. 1433) which was amended by the Railway Pensions (Transfer and Miscellaneous Provisions) Order 1994 (S.I. 1994/2005) and section 215 (6) of the Transport Act 2000 (2000 c. 38).
