Paragraph 4

(1)

Any reference in paragraph 3 to an offence under the law of any part of the United Kingdom includes a reference to a civil offence (wherever committed) within the meaning of the Army Act 1955^f1, the Air Force Act 1955^f2 or as the case may be the Naval Discipline Act 1957^f3.

(2)

For the purposes of paragraphs 1 to 4—

(a)

convictions which are spent for the purposes of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974^f4 shall be disregarded; and

(b)

the International Rail Regulator may also disregard an offence if such time as he thinks proper has elapsed since the date of the conviction.
