# The Railways (Substitute Road Services) (Exemptions) Order 2006, Introduction: Introductory text

Made 17th July 2006
Laid before Parliament 20th July 2006
Coming into force 1 October 2006
The Secretary of State, makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 248(4) of the Transport Act 2000 .
In accordance with section 248(5) of that Act he has consulted the Disabled Persons Transport Advisory Committee and with such other representative organisations as he thinks fit.
