  "text": "(This note is not part of the Order)\nThis Order—\n(a) In relation to the year 1988-89—\n(i) redetermines the estimated aggregate amount of the rate support grants as £1,897,876,128 (previously it was £2,037,930,000) (article 2);\n(ii) varies the amount of the needs element from £1,730,230,000 to £1,590,176,128 (article 3);\n(iii) apportions part of the needs element as varied to each local authority (article 4 and Schedule 2); and\n(iv) revokes article 3(2) of, and Schedule 3 to, the Rate Support Grant (Scotland) (No.3) Order 1987 (article 14).\n(b) In relation to the year 1987-88—\n(i) redetermines the estimated aggregate amount of the rate support grants as £1,777,322,740 (previously it was £1,688,110,661) (article 5);\n(ii) varies the amount of the needs element from £1,400,910,661 to £1,490,122,740 (article 6);\n(iii) apportions the needs element as varied to each local authority (article 7 and Schedule 3); and\n(iv) revokes article 8 of, and Schedule 4 to, the Rate Support Grant (Scotland) (No.3) Order 1987 (article 14).\n(c) In relation to the year 1986-87—\n(i) redetermines the estimated aggregate amount of the rate support grants as £1,656,162,143 (previously it was £1,656,335,907) (article 8);\n(ii) varies the amount of the needs element from £1,380,835,907 to £1,380,662,143 (article 9);\n(iii) apportions the needs element as varied to each local authority (article 10 and Schedule 4); and\n(iv) revokes article 13 of, and Schedule 5 to, the Rate Support Grant (Scotland) (No.3) Order 1987 (article 14).\n(d) In relation to the year 1985-86—\n(i) redetermines the estimated aggregate amount of the rate support grants as £1,704,059,747 (previously it was £1,700,892,301) (article 11);\n(ii) varies the amount of the needs element from £1,392,092,301 to £1,395,259,747 (article 12);\n(iii) apportions the needs element as varied to each local authority (article 13 and Schedule 5); and\n(iv) revokes article 17 of, and Schedule 6 to, the Rate Support Grant (Scotland) (No.3) Order 1987 (article 14).",
