# Rates (Northern Ireland) Order 1977, Article 34: Payments to district councils on account of district rates


(1) The Department shall, in respect of each year, pay to each district council in accordance with regulations a sum equal to the product of a district rate made by the council for that year.
(2) The sums payable under this Article shall be charged on and issued out of the Consolidated Fund, and for the purpose of providing for such issues the Department may borrow money.
