# The REACH Enforcement Regulations 2008, Paragraph 5

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

In respect of—
(a) a local (consumer safety) authority in Great Britain, an authorisation made under section 72 of the Weights and Measures Act 1985(appointment of inspectors);
(b) a local (consumer safety) authority in Northern Ireland, an authorisation made for the purposes of section 27(2) of the Consumer Protection Act 1987(enforcement).
