In September 2007 the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government issued a direction under paragraph 1(3) of Schedule 8 to the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 (c. 5) preserving certain policies contained in the structure plan beyond the transitional period defined in paragraphs 1(2) and 2(4) of Schedule 8. Line 13 of the schedule to the direction preserved policy 6 (Bristol/Bath Green Belt)."
