# The Registered Designs (Amendment) Rules 2014, Note: Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Rules)
These Rules amend the Registered Designs Rules 2006 (S.I. 2006/1975) to provide that any directions which the registrar may issue requiring the use of forms under section 31A of the Registered Designs Act 1949 or specifying the hours of business of the Intellectual Property Office and excluded days under section 39 of that Act must be published on such website as the registrar considers to be likely to bring them to the attention of those persons likely to be affected by those directions.
An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as it has a negligible effect on business.
