# The Registered Rents (Increase) Order (Northern Ireland) 2021, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into operation 19th July 2021
The Department for Communities, makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 55(5) and (6) of the Private Tenancies (Northern Ireland) Order 2006.
The Department has accepted the recommendation of the Rent Officer made under Article 55(4) of that Order that the rents referred to in Article 55(1) of that Order should be increased.
