  "text": "In this Act—\n“lease” includes any tenancy;\n“local housing authority” (except in section 47) means a district council, a county council in England for an area for which there is no district council, a London borough council, the Common Council of the City of London (in its capacity as a local authority) or the Council of the Isles of Scilly;\n“the 1988 Act” means the Housing Act 1988.",
