  "text": "(1) In the Reserve Forces Act 1980–\n(a) section 83 (postponement of discharge or transfer to reserve), and\n(b) in section 156(1), the definition of “permanent service”,\nshall be omitted.\n(2) In the Reserve Forces Act 1996 (Transitional, Consequential and Saving Provisions) Regulations 1997, regulations 6 and 8 shall be revoked.",
