  "heading": "Amendment of provisions of the 1980 Act",
  "text": "(1) Section 30 of the 1980 Act shall be amended as follows.\n(2) For subsection (1) there shall be substituted—\n“(1) Whenever a recall order under section 68 of the Reserve Forces Act 1996 authorising the recall of persons who have served in the Royal Navy or Royal Marines is in force, persons to whom this section applies are liable—\n(a) by virtue of subsection (1A)(a) below, to be ordered to join the Royal Navy;\n(b) by virtue of subsection (1A)(b) below, to be ordered to join the Royal Marines,\nand those so ordered shall serve while the recall order remains in force (unless released sooner) and while so serving section 76 of the Reserve Forces Act 1996 shall apply to them as it applies to persons described in that section.”.\n(3) After subsection (1) there shall be inserted—\n“(1A) This section applies to any persons who—\n(a) have served as warrant officers, petty officers or seamen in the navy; or\n(b) have served as warrant officers, non-commissioned officers or men of the Royal Marines,\nand are in receipt of pensions in respect of such service.”.",
