  "long_title": "These Rules establish and regulate Reserve Forces Appeal Tribunals. The Tribunals are subject to the supervision of the Council on Tribunals and these Rules are based on their Model Rules. The Tribunals are newly established under Part IX of the Reserve Forces Act 1996 to hear appeals against determinations of applications by reservists or their employers under Part VIII of the 1996 Act. Under Part VIII a person liable to call-out or recall for permanent service, or his employer, may apply for payment if he has suffered, or will suffer, loss of income as a result of that person’s absence on permanent service. Reservists or their employers may also apply for exemption or deferral of liability for call-out or recall.",
