  "text": "(1) The European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 is amended as follows.\n(2) In section 5 (exceptions to savings and incorporation)—\n(a) after subsection (A3) (inserted by section 3(1)) insert—\n“(A4) No general principle of EU law is part of domestic law after the end of 2023.”;\n(b) omit subsection (5).\n(3) In section 6 (interpretation)—\n(a) in subsection (3)(a) omit “and any retained general principles of EU law”;\n(b) in subsection (7) omit the definition of “retained general principles of EU law”.\n(4) In section 7(5)(b) (status of retained EU law) omit “and retained general principles of EU law”.\n(5) In section 21(1) (index of defined expressions), in the table, omit the entry for “Retained general principles of EU law”.\n(6) In Schedule 1 (further provision about exceptions to savings and incorporation) omit paragraphs 2 and 3 (general principles of EU law) and the italic heading before them.\n(7) In paragraph 39 of Schedule 8 (transitional provision relating to certain exceptions to savings and incorporation)—\n(a) in sub-paragraph (1) for “1 to 4” substitute “1 and 4”;\n(b) in sub-paragraph (2) for “1 to 4” substitute “1 and 4”;\n(c) in sub-paragraph (3) for “paragraphs 3 and” substitute “paragraph”;\n(d) in sub-paragraph (4) for “1 to 4” substitute “1 and 4”;\n(e) omit sub-paragraphs (5) and (6).",
