# The Revenue Support Grant (Scotland) Order 1997, Introduction: Introductory text


LOCAL GOVERNMENT, SCOTLAND
Made 12th February 1997
Laid before the House of Commons 13th February 1997
Coming into force 5th March 1997
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by paragraph 1 of Schedule 4 to the Abolition of Domestic Rates Etc. (Scotland) Act 1987 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after consultation with such associations of local authorities as appear to him to be appropriate in accordance with paragraph 2(2) of the said Schedule, and with the consent of the Treasury, hereby makes the following Order:
