  "text": "(This note is not part of the Regulations)\nThese Regulations amend the 1921 Regulations prescribing the procedure for claiming compensation under the Riot (Damages) Act 1886.\nIn particular, they increase from fourteen days to forty-two days the period within which a claim can be made, and remove the provision for the period to be extended if special cause is shown.",
