# The River Authorities (Compensation) Regulations 1965, Regulation 3: Persons to whom the regulations apply


These regulations shall apply to any person who—
(a) is employed immediately before the material date, either for the whole or for a part only of his time, as an officer of any river authority or transferor authority or under such an officer for the purposes of the functions of the authority, or
(b) would be so employed at that time but for any national service on which he is then engaged.
