(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order prohibits the fishing for or taking of freshwater fish in the area prescribed, without legal right or written permission from someone having that right.

The prescribed area is that part of the River Clyde catchment area comprising the main stem of the River Clyde and its banks from the point where it leaves the Daer Reservoir, and is known as the Daer Water, downstream to the downstream side of Bothwell Bridge. The area is defined by reference to a large scale map which may be inspected at the Scottish Office Agriculture and Fisheries Department, Pentland House, Robb’s Loan, Edinburgh, on any working day between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm.

The map annexed to and forming part of this note gives a general guide to the boundary of the prescribed area.
