# The River Colne Barrier (Wivenhoe) Order 1991, Article 12: Notice to police


Before breaking up or otherwise interfering with any road in connection with the construction of any of the works, the Rivers Authority shall (except in a case of emergency) give 14 days' notice to the chief officer of police of their intention so to do.
