Section XII Proviso for keeping in Repair, &c. Banks and Bridges, by Persons; heretofore liable.

Provided alwaies That all such Banks and Bridges on the said River or elsewhere as have usually been maintained or repaired or ought to be made maintained or repaired by any other Person or Persons Bodies Politick or Corporate shall still be maintained and repaired by such Person and Persons Bodies Politick or Corporate in the same manner as they should or ought to have been if this Act never had been made Any thing herein contained to the contrary notwithstanding
