# The River Mersey (Mersey Gateway Bridge) Order 2011, Article 57: Disapplication of provisions relating to the conservation of the River Mersey

Extent: E+W+S

The provisions of the Act passed in the fifth and sixth years of the reign of Queen Victoria (1842) titled “An Act for better preserving the navigation of the River Mersey” shall not apply in relation to the construction of any authorised works in the River Mersey.
