# The River Purification Boards (Establishment) Variation (Scotland) Order 1989, Article 3


For article 7(1) of each of the Establishment Orders there shall be substituted—
“(1) For the purposes of section 6(1) of the Act of 1951, the Board’s expenses shall be defrayed by the councils of the regions whose areas are comprised wholly or partly in the river purification board area and shall be apportioned and allocated among the said regions in the proportions stated against the names of the Board and the said regions in columns (1), (2) and (3) respectively of Schedule 2 to the River Purification Boards (Establishment) Variation (Scotland) Order 1989.”.
